A Million Thoughts So Little Time

Updated: May 10, 2021

As I sit here….

I wonder…..

If you are a busy mom or even a busy dad, you know there isn’t just one thing that you wonder or think about in a moment.

I have struggled with trying to do everything at ONE TIME!

Realistically we know that is IMPOSSIBLE, but our minds are racing and there are a MILLION thoughts running through our heads, and we just want to get everything done in that very moment because we feel that if we don’t we are failures and that the world is going to COLLAPSE!!!

{Deep breath} {Long Sigh}

RELAX…………Take a deep breath in........Now exhale........

Today I have had to wake up, prepare breakfast for me and my husband’s 3 beautiful children, prep our oldest daughter for her classes for the day, run down to the basement to feed our German Shepard, Gunner; put him outside and clean up their area that is COVERED in dog hair, run back upstairs, check on our daughter, put the boys in the living room to play while their sister does her class sessions, clean up the dining room and kitchen from breakfast, answer text messages and phone calls………...

You catch

my drift right?I don’t think it EVER ended!!!

BUT WAIT!!!

I forgot to eat breakfast, I didn’t take my vitamins, or even have a nice HOT cup of coffee!

...........................................................................................................................................................................................

Yep, it happens to ALL of us! Life can get so overwhelming and so consuming that we can forget the little things. So what did I do?

I went in the office, set my timer for 10 minutes, prayed in my heavenly language and soaked in the presence of God.

This was my calming factor. This took my mind off of everything that I had just done, and still needed to d

o so that I could relax and begin to focus on me, how great and beautiful the day was, and most of all, HOW GREAT GOD IS!!

We tend to forget the small things or the simply things that God does for us each day. I have a roof over my head; myself, my husband and children are happy and healthy; I have clothes to wear, food to eat and a number of other great gifts from GOD!
